My story

Hola!  My name is Meritxell Batistti. Merichei is how my name is pronounced and what my mother calls me, which makes me feel more close to home. 

I came to Amsterdam all the way from Argentina. I have studied Architecture & Urbanism in Mendoza, where I had my first contact with design. From then on, I had a passion for composition and minimalism, and I find a lot of beauty in simple details. 

Along with my studies, I began to work on projects relating to graphic and web design. I worked for an editorial for many years, designing for newspapers and magazines, before deciding to leave Argentina in search of greater and bigger opportunities. In Amsterdam I found my new home: a warm house and new fellow travellers (among them my cat Mila).

As a freelance designer, I’ve worked on a variety of projects over the last eight years. Through my graphic, digital designs and marketing skills, I helped artists in better expressing themselves, as well as many companies in Amsterdam and Argentina.

I have never stopped developing myself and learning new skills such as SEO, digital marketing, UX and recently Front-end development. I found out that all the things that I learn can only make a better designer. 

I would say.. passion is what brought me so far, and it’s what keeps me going.
